HISTORY & OVERVIEW

Morry’s of Naples was a famous wine and delicatessen that operated from this building from 1948 until 2009. It was a beloved neighborhood market, especially for wine and cheese lovers, with one of the largest selections of rare wine, liquors and beers. They offered wine tastings in the private bar upstairs.  In the deli area, they offered excellent sandwiches, Joe Jost’s picked eggs, a salad bar and a large selection of caviar.

Many people in Long Beach and beyond remember Morry’s of Naples fondly and were saddened when it closed its doors in 2009.

The ground floor has since been home to multiple tenants including Naples Wine & Spirits, Velo Pacific & UDS Bikes.  The second floor consists of a wine storage business and a private lounge that was once home to the “Backroom” Wine Bar at Morry’s.  The Backroom is relatively untouched and has been utilized personally by the current owner.  The third floor consists of two recently remodeled residential units: a studio and a one bedroom apartment.

The building’s history and unique features make it a great opportunity for a new owner to step in with their own vision.
